🔒 Our Commitment

This policy explains how the app handles your information and what permissions it uses.

📦 Data We Collect None

TrustOTP does not collect any data, including:

• No personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
• No usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
• No advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No account or login required

📱 Data Stored on Your Device

Your OTP accounts (secrets, names, issuer) are saved only on your device using encrypted local storage. This data never leaves your device through the app.

• Stored locally with encryption
• Backup files are created only when you manually export — you control where they go
• Deleting the app removes all stored data

🔑 Permissions Used

Camera — Used only to scan QR codes when adding a new OTP account. Images are processed on-device and never stored or uploaded.

Biometric / Device Lock — Used optionally for the app lock feature. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's OS (Android); TrustOTP never accesses raw biometric data.

🌐 Internet Access

TrustOTP does not require or request internet access. All OTP generation is done locally on your device using standard TOTP/HOTP algorithms.

👶 Children's Privacy

TrustOTP does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for all ages.

✏️ Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the new version will be published here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
